Jindal Steel & Power’s Angul plant produced 2,58,026mt of rebar in the third quarter of fiscal 2019-20. This is the plant’s highest ever rebar production since inception. JSPL’s India operations produced 1.61mn mt of steel in the December quarter.
The company’s rail mill in Raigarh produced 1,65,473mt rails & structure in the third quarter, while the plate mill produced 2,43,237mt of plate and coils. Raigarh’s beam & structure mill produced 1,14,036mt in the third quarter.
JSPL’s India operations produced 1.61mn mt of steel in the December quarter. Raigarh and Angul plants produced 8,17,344mt and 7,92,822mt of steel, respectively.
Oman unit
Rolling mill at Jindal Shadeed, JSPL’s Oman unit, recorded highest single-day production of 5,282mt on Dec 28, 2019. The company’s steel melting shop recorded a production run-rate of 2mn mtpa in the third quarter. Direct Reduced Iron unit produced 1.75mn mt in the calendar year of 2019, which was also a record.
