Indian car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki reported a 19pc fall in total production to 107,686 units in July from the prior year period.
In June, the company produced 50,724 units. Production in July is up 112pc from the prior month. In July, sales and production has significantly improved for the company.
Maruti Suzuki is planning to increase production to around 160,000- 170,000 units in October to meet the festive demand in Q3.
In July, passenger cars production was down 19pc to 105,345 units from the previous year and light commercial vehicle production slipped 14pc to 2,342 units from the prior year.
The car maker’s sales improved in July to 108,064 units, down 1pc from July 2019 and up 88pc from the prior month.
