Indian car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki reported total production of 123,769 units in August, up 11 pc from the prior year.
Passenger car production was up 9pc to 90,746 units in August from the prior month. Maruti Suzuki has announced that they are ramping-up production for the festive season after sales improved significantly. Mini car production also rose 11pc in August from the prior year period to 89,556 units.
Total production in August is up 15pc from July. In July the company produced a total of 107,686 units.
Sales in August jumped 17pc to 124,624 units from the prior year making it the first month where the company reported a growth after the pandemic affected business.
