Scrap recycler, Metal Recycling, plans to acquire Sol Alman, a scrap processing facility in Little-Rock Arkansas by Dec 18.
Sol Alman’s facility recycles ferrous metals including iron and steel along with non-ferrous metals that include copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, zinc, aluminum cans, and lead.
The site, operating since 1905, is equipped with shears, balers, grapple/magnet hydraulic cranes, etc., and ships to mills and foundries via rail, truck, barge, or overseas containers.
All existing managers and employees from Sol Alman will be retained, the companies said in a news release.
Arkansas based Metal Recycling will operate three full-service scrap metal recycling sites in the state on completion of this acquisition. Its other facilities in the region include Metro Scrap Metals in North Little Rock and Thompson Recycling company in Searcy.
Further details or specifics on acquisition costs have not been announced.
