Metalloinvest has completed a modernization effort at its Mikhailovsky GOK plant in Russia to increase production volumes by replacing all its single drum magnetic separators with modern, efficient units.
This replacement will enable the firm to increase its iron ore concentrate production by 10,200mt on an annual basis. A total of 23 separators were replaced across the last six months, as a part of the Russian steel maker’s modernization program through which washing of incoming pulp is carried out more efficiently, leading to increased production volumes. Each separator weighed more than 5mt each and now have better reliability and lower maintenance.
