The Chhattisgarh government extended the four iron ore mining leases of National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC), Bailadila region of Dantewada, district in Chhattisgarh for a period of 20 years, upto 2035, according to NMDC.
The mining lease deed execution concluded on Jan 10 and the registration formalities on Jan 13.
The four mines cover Deposit-5, 10, 14 and 14 NMZ with an area of (in hectares) 540.05, 309.34, 322.36 and 506.7 hectare, respectively, and an annual capacity of 29mn mt of iron ore.
