American steel producer Nucor will buy two roll grinders from Pomini Tenova for the latter’s new steel plate mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky. The mill is expected to become operational by H2 2022.
The heavy-duty machines will grind, rough, and finish stand work rolls with or without chocks, and backup rolls of both stands without chocks noted Tenova in a statement on Monday.
The Italian metals and mining equipment specialist reiterated that the machines will integrate the latest Tenova EDGE technology for condition and process monitoring.
