Nevada Copper announced a faster-than-expected growth in preliminary operations at its Pumpkin Hollow copper mine, slated to recommence production this month.
The company reported that the main production shaft at the mine has reached its final depth. The equipping of its below surface shafts is currently at 32pc completion and is slated for completion in Q4 2020.
The copper ore stockpile at its concentrate production mill currently tallies at 150,000mt. Personnel is now returning to the mill and development is underway, in anticipation of the restart.
Shipping arrangements, in the form of access to the Union Pacific railway, have been made at Tahoe, Reno to ensure transit to the west coast ports for bulk shipping.
The mine has a production capacity of 29,484mt of contained copper per year.
