Samuel Nelson technology has received a purchase order from National Material Processing (NMP) to revamp the later’s plant No. 1 in Chicago.
The project requires Samuel replacing four pickling tanks with the ‘turbo tunnel’ double cover system, along with a four-stage flood rinse system. The three turbo tunnels were successfully installed by the firm in 2019.
These tunnels are intedned to improve pickling quality while reducing acid and natural gas consumption and emissions from scrubber stack, Samuel Nelson said in a statement.
