Sayona Québec, a subsidiary of Sayona and Piedmont Lithium, has completed the acquisition of North American Lithium (NAL). Preparations have begun to resume lithium production to meet the fast-growing demand from the North American battery market and downstream processing, which supports a clean energy future.
NAL’s production of saleable lithium would commence in 2023.
The acquisition of NAL and the creation of the Abitibi lithium hub that integrates Sayona’s Authier and Tansim Lithium Projects places Sayona as the leading lithium producer in Quebec.
Demand for lithium to power North America’s EV and battery storage revolution continues to expand, according to Sayona’s Managing Director, Brett Lynch.
Sayona Mining Limited is an emerging lithium producer with projects in Québec, Canada, and Western Australia. In Québec, Sayona’s assets comprise the Authier Lithium Project and its emerging Tansim Lithium Project
