Telson Mining’s zinc production increased by 50pc at its Campo Morado mine, in Durango, Mexico, in 2020. At the same time, its plant production and sales of zinc concentrate increased by 30pc.

 

The company indicated in its 2020 earnings report on Monday that it had extracted a total of 343,141mt in ore from Campo Morado, grading at 4.5pc zinc and 1.04pc lead, as well as gold and silver. It processed a total of 454,624mt of ore in the same period, from which it recovered 70pc in zinc concentrate and 28pc in lead concentrate.

 

The company produced 28,031mt of zinc concentrate and 5,794mt of lead concentrate in 2020.

 

The metal content of the mine’s concentrates was stable last year with zinc grading at 46pc on average. Still, Telson’s consolidated revenues climbed due to an average 2pc per month increase in zinc prices during the same period.

 

Telson sold 27,864mt of zinc and 5,969mt of lead concentrates in 2020, which contributed to its total revenue of $44.4mn for the year.
