Germany’s thyssenkrupp has sold its Carbon Components company to Action Composites Technology, based in Austria.

The transaction is estimated to be completed within the next few weeks. However, both companies agreed that the financial details will remain undisclosed.

In May 2021, thyssenkrupp decided to suspend the business as a part of its realignment, however, this sale will prevent Carbon Components’ suspension.

Action Composites designs and produces carbon composite components. The company has about 1,800 employees among its four locations and an estimated sales total of approximately €70 million annually. Carbon Components produces braided carbon rims for car and motorcycle manufacturers and mountain bikes along with carbon rods for the construction industry.
