Bernhard Osburg, Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe’s chief commercial officer and chairman has been promoted to chief executive officer after its current CEO Premal Desai resigned. According to a statement by Thyssenkrupp, Desai’s resignation came after he and the company could not reconcile their visions for Thyssenkrupp Steel’s future.
Additionally, Carsten Evers has been named to the company’s executive board as chief financial officer.
In a statement, Dr. Klaus Keysberg, a member of the company’s executive board, said the company developed a strategy in December, which it remains committed to realizing. While no further details were provided.
