The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey decreased by TRY159/mt ($22/mt) to TRY3,457/mt ($469/mt) delivered on Monday amid slow business activity and currency fluctuations.
Colakoglu Metalurji cut its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY100/mt to TRY3,615/mt delivered over the week, while Diler Demir Celik reduced it by TRY260/mt to TRY3,350/mt delivered. Kroman decreased its purchase price for the same material by TRY190/mt to TRY3,355/mt delivered.
Erdemir announced new purchase price for DKP grade at TRY3,715/mt delivered on Jan 4, lower by TRY60/mt from a week ago, while Isdemir is buying this grade at TRY3,505/mt delivered now compared with TRY3,655/mt delivered earlier.
Kardemir is paying TRY3,825/mt delivered for DKP grade since Dec 22.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region increased by $8/mt to $463/mt delivered over the week due to better demand for this material.
