The weekly Davis Indexes for DKP scrap (equivalent to bonus grade) and extra grade scrap (equivalent to HMS 1&2 [85:15]) in Turkey both remained unchanged on Monday at TRY2,240/mt ($288/mt) delivered and TRY2,122/mt ($272/mt) delivered, respectively.

 

Most Turkish steelmakers have not revised their purchase prices for local material since September 8-10 as its inflow meets current demand.

 

Colakoglu Metalurji continues to purchase DKP grade at TRY2,260/mt delivered and extra grade at TRY2,115/mt delivered, while Diler Demir is buying those grades at TRY2,205/mt delivered and TRY2,105/mt delivered, respectively.

 

Erdemir and Isdemir are paying TRY2,310/mt delivered and TRY2,020/mt delivered, respectively, for DKP grade and TRY2,305/mt delivered and TRY2,015/mt delivered, respectively, for extra grade.

 

Kardemir is purchasing DKP grade at TRY2,345/mt delivered and extra grade at TRY2,185/mt delivered.

 

Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in Izmir are also flat at $285/mt delivered.
