The US Department of Commerce had imposed an antidumping duty (AD) of 12.03pc on 12 Turkish exporters of circular welded carbon steel standard pipe and tube products in a final notification of duties on this material for the period of review (POR) May 1, 2018, to April 30, 2019.
Of the 12 companies, seven belong to the Borusan group of companies, which were slapped with an AD of 9.9pc on the same material for the POR May 1, 2017, to April 30, 2018, in January last year.
The remaining companies include Tubeco Pipe and Steel, Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi ve Ticaret, Kale Baglanti, Kale Baglanti Teknolojileri San, and Istikbal Ticaret.
Commerce added in its notification that the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) will assess the latest round of AD on all the entries of the material during the POR.
