The US Department of Commerce has preliminarily determined antidumping duties (AD) on large power transformers from South Korea.
In a notification published on Aug 27, Commerce indicated that some producers or exporters from the country sold the material at less than the fair value during the period of review (POR) from August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
The department has therefore levied a preliminary AD of 8.85pc on Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Electric & Energy Systems, Iljin Electric, and ILJIN.
Upon publication of the final results, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be instructed to collect a cash deposit equal to the AD margin for shipments of the subject merchandise entered or withdrawn on or after the date of publication.
