Davis Index – Daily metal prices, scrap prices & global metal market

The weekly Davis Index for A380.1 was unchanged at 69¢/lb delivered US consumer on Friday with A319.1 remaining at 74¢/lb delivered. The index for both A360.1 and A413.1 held at 84¢/lb delivered and B390 was flat at 86.8¢/lb delivered.

 

The three-month LME aluminum contract closed at $1,582/mt on Friday, down by $113/mt from $1,695/mt on March 13. 

 

Producers of US secondary aluminum alloys have held prices at the same levels as last week as they weigh the near- to medium-term impact of the automotive shutdowns—declared earlier this week—on the secondary smelting business and forging a strategy to move forward as demand weakens.
