The US Department of Commerce issued its final determination for duties to be levied on carbon and alloy steel threaded rods from India and China, according to US media

 

The final anti-dumping margin determination for steel-threaded rods from China will be from 4.26pc, to as much as 59.45pc.

 

Rods from India will be assigned anti-dumping duty in the range of 2.47-28.34pc. 

 

The final subsidy margins for China and India will be in the range of 31.02-66.81pc and 6.07-211.72pc, respectively. 

 

The commerce department had begun their probe after a petition was filed by Vulcan Threaded Products in February 2019. 

 

Imports of steel threaded rods into the US from India were valued at $104.7mn, and that from China at $35.8mn in 2018, according to estimates from the US commerce department.
