China’s Valin Steel plans to shut down its 1080m blast furnace for maintenance in March to reduce inventory, according to China Metallurgical News.
Valin Steel produced 2mn mt steel in February, while the output of iron ore was 1.63mn mt. Valin Steel is one of the largest steel producer in Hunan province in central China with a crude steel output of 20mn mt per year and finished steel output of 23mn mt. The company produces heavy steel plates, hot rolled steel plates, cold-rolled steel plates, galvanized plates, steel wires, steel rods, steel pipes, steel strips, steel slabs etc.
Hunan Valin Steel Group has 3 steel plants in Hunan, namely, Valin Xiangtan Steel, Valin Lianyuan Steel and Valin Hengyang Steel.
