China’s Xuzhou Delong Metal Technology’s first phase of stainless-steel bar plant has commenced production. The plant is expected to produce 800,000mt medium size SS bars, annually, according to the China Metallurgical News.
The new plant based in Xuzhou city in Jiangsu province has a daily production of 1,250mt. The first phase is designed to produce 800,000mt medium size bars with an investment of CNY800mn and the second phase is planned to produce 800,000mt small bars, with an estimated total annual output of 1.6mn mt. Investment for the second phase is CNY700mn. Construction of the first phase started in 2017.
Post the second phase upgrade, the plant will become one of the largest stainless-steel bar production plant in China with an annual income of CNY5bn. Stainless steel bars are used for constructions, mechanical parts, medical equipment, auto parts and chemical containers.
